And we can attest that The Ice Cream Man’s show is full of variety and chock full of “Surf, Ska, Punk, Mod, New Wave, Northern Soul, Sixties Garage and more.” On this episode, The Gunboat Diplomats are nestled comfortably between some swinging’ Mel Torme, the surf-garage-psychedelia of Os Noctambulos, a slow-rocking cover of Buddy Holly by Joe Normal, and some New Wave bubble gum from the Kurt Baker Combo, so be sure to check it out. And in another diplomatic breakthrough, WJKO has been playing our entire album from top to bottom and has added us to the regular rotation. They play a refreshing variety of music, from Americana to afro-beat to everything in between.
